So much has been said about the Holy Spirit, but we cannot totally exhaust this topic as it forms the very essence of our Christianity. If we remove the place of the Holy Spirit from the Church, then we become impotent and empty, lacking direction, and heading for no where. The bible says.
Howbeit when He the spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth……
And will show you the future. John 16:13
Jesus said in the above scripture that the Holy Spirit will be responsible for guiding and showing us our future and purpose in life; meaning He will be the compass of our destiny. This was so important to Jesus that he had to hurriedly complete his purpose and left the scene for us to manifest by his spirit.
The only way and access we have into our purpose and our Kingdom rights is by the spirit. We can virtually do nothing without Him, John 15:5b. There is a lot God has hidden in the Kingdom for our benefits but they can only be searched out through the Spirit, the bible says He has given unto us all things that pertain to life and Godliness, everything we need to fulfil his purpose and our destinies has already been provided for but we still need to search it out as hidden treasure through the help of the Holy Spirit.
‘But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered the heart of men, the things God has prepared for them the love him’.
‘But God has revealed them unto us by His spirit: For the spirit searches all things, yea the deep things of God’. 1 Cor 2:9-10
Spiritual verities are not discoverable by human wisdom, the same way treasures such as Gold, diamond and even crude oil cannot be scooped on the ground surface, but God has made thing easy for us if only we can yield and follow the leading of his spirit in us. He not only hid the treasure but also gave us His spirit to assist us in locating where the treasures are hidden.
Jesus said to Nicodemus who thought he has knowledge of what the Kingdom of God is because he saw miracles in John 3:3,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Vs : 5 Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom
The word see in the Greek translation is ‘eidon’ and it’s not so much of mere looking, but the actual perception of Kingdom realities. Nicodemus only saw what his natural eye permits him to see but was far from actual perception and partaking in the realities of the kingdom of God. Jesus explained further that he can only partake in the Goodies and realities of the kingdom if he is born of water and of the spirit. It’s not enough to see or what is the joy of seeing good things happening to other when you cannot partake in it.
More so knowing that God is not partial, he doesn’t have grandchildren, everyone who accepts His son and His Spirit have every right to become his son.
‘but as many as receive him, to them gave he the power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name’. John 1:12
For as many as are led by the spirit, they are the sons of God…. The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; and joint heirs with Christ. Rom 8: 14-17
Can you beat this? We qualify to become children of God through the acceptance and leading of his spirit and since we are children just as Christ was then we have equal share in the inheritance God prepared for his children.
Wow!!! THIS IS AWESOME. I wonder how we have been able to make it this far without the spirit, friends it’s not too late for you to get in the flow of the spirit and start enjoying all the things God has freely given to you. It’s your time now, don’t blow it, heaven will blame you if you fail because God has given you everything you require to succeed.
There is a lot to gain and nothing to lose, why don’t you join the wagon now and be a partaker of the kingdom inheritance, all you need is just accept Jesus today as your Lord and saviour, invite him into your heart, and you become qualified to receive the Holy spirit.
